Dekati® eDiluter™ Pro is a portable dilution system that allows easy sample conditioning for a wide range of particle measurement applications. Its compact structure includes a two-stage dilution system with an adjustable dilution factor ranging from 1:25 to 1:900. The high sample output of the Dekati® eDiluter™ Pro allows the system to be fully integrated with all Dekati® Instruments and is also compatible with all other commercially available measurement instruments.
The operating principle of the diluter
The operating principle of the Dekati® eDiluter™ Pro is based on two-stage dilution. The first stage is heated while the second dilution stage operates at room temperature where the aerosol sample is also cooled in a controlled manner. Both dilution stages consist of an ejector diluter with additional sheath air flow. The use of a large ejector nozzle and sheath air reduces the need for cleaning, and also minimizes particle losses within the system. Built-in sensors constantly monitor the dilution process parameters and an integrated control unit actively compensates for any fluctuations in the sample inlet pressure ensuring that the selected dilution factor is kept constant under all conditions.
High temperature diluter suitable for automotive and aircraft emissions
The Dekati® eDiluter™ Pro is an ideal dilution system for high temperature aerosol measurements, including automotive exhaust and non-exhaust emissions and aircraft emissions. The system fulfills all requirements of a Volatile Particle Remover (VPR) according to UN/ECE-R83 (Rev.5), UN/ECE-R49 (Rev.6) 2017/1151 and 2017/1154 (RDE) and is also compliant with SAE AIR 6241 and UN GTR-24 with optional catalytic stripper element.
With the Dekati® High Temperature Sampling Probe, the system can even be used to measure from extremely high sample temperatures up to 1200 °C.
